BKJ Architecture worked with the Delta Gamma Sorority at Florida State University to bring new life to their existing sorority house. This project included a 4,300 SF interior renovation, a 3,700 SF addition, and some improvements to the exterior as well. The size of the property in relation to the existing building and its age made this a challenging yet successful project that BKJ was proud to be a part of.
A new plaza at the rear of the building provides residents with a private, relaxing space to enjoy some fresh air.
All new sidewalks lined by the redesigned brick retaining walls provide a welcoming grand entrance to a new two-story front porch expansion.
Modern fixtures, stylish new finishes, and redesigned lighting give the house’s communal restrooms a luxurious feel.
To enhance the gathering experience, we modernized the kitchen facilities and expanded the chapter room to better accommodate the growing sorority.
