Before pursuing a design for FSU’s soccer and softball shade structure, BKJ developed models of the sun’s effects throughout the year. To ensure effective crowd coverage, tests at key afternoon game times were produced for both sides of the existing stadium. The study proved the advantages of the addition of a softball shade structure and helped eliminate the soccer shade design as a less practical solution.
